Great place for resting, out of the busy Madrid's city life, and still only a bit more than 1 hour to reach, if there's no traffic. The surrounding is a very popular destination for its hiking routes all year around. A weekend out is perfect in this place, since it has everything you need for disconnecting: good shower in the rooms, good beds (although the room is rather tiny), outdoor dining experience with lounge mood, live show on the weekends, nature environment. We stayed one night with our 1 year old baby and they provided a crib (you need to check for additional cost), they have free parking slot right there next to the rooms, all the rooms are at ground floor villa style. Very clean rooms and showers are updated as for spa massage treatment alike, together with the good quality soap ("Rituals" brand) it helped us to relax. The rooms are equipped with heater, there's no air-con but you don't need it because at night the whole area refreshes and temperatures fall down (because it is closer to the mountains). Beware of the mosquitos and flies, but that's like in any other rural place, they have mosquito nets in the windows and we brought our own electric mosquito repellent. Price for the stay is correct for the quality given, compared with other places around Spain were we have traveled to. We didn't eat there but will try it next time, they presumably have good quality meats from the region (Avila is famous for it), although the prices are more expensive than other local places within the small village, maybe it is good a try for the full weekend immersion experience. They don't have set menus yet, only a-la-cart. They just re-opened this place 2-3 months ago, renovating most of the things and giving the place a fresh new environment. We only had a quick breakfasts (not included in our booking) before heading to our next schedule, they were kind to apologize for taking a bit longer to prepare it, so they treated us. (We think it took longer because the staff didn't arrive yet, so only one person was preparing and serving, when we finished the late breakfast we saw the waiters arriving) Overall we had a good experience, owners are very kind, and we will repeat it.

Well, first of all, I'd like to say that we only went for one day and I didn't even know where we were going, but… I just have to say that it was fantastic, not only was the place, which is beautiful, although we went in very bad weather and we still loved it, but also the treatment. from the waiters, a special and unique treatment that I had not seen for a long time and to top it all off, meeting the owners of all that are fantastic people, not only friendly, friendly and attentive, but also very familiar, a super familiar place with both the waiters and with The tenants, not just any person, spend two hours of their time talking to two people who have just arrived. The truth is, we leave very happy, content with the pain of having left and we have been very eager to return, so we will definitely return and very We often feel very very welcoming.. and by the way the food without words just try it and you will see..

I spent one night with my partner this weekend. I chose the hotel because of the environment, which I have to say is wonderful. We arrived at 3:30 p.m. hungry and were able to sit down to eat, grateful that they were still serving us. My partner chose the 1kg meat and I chose the shoulder. It seems to us that €50 for the meat is a robbery, because it had a lot of fat and once it was cleaned it wasn't that much meat. The regular shoulder, a little dry and with two bites of meat, very small. The room was €70, very simple and frozen upon arrival, the heating was set very low and it took us a while to warm up. The shower kept falling out of place, it can be improved. The access to the hotel could be fixed a little because the roads are quite bad. I am left with the silence and peace that is breathed and the sky of stars that we were able to see at night, but I don't know if I would repeat it.

Fantastic hotel and restaurant in a wonderful setting. We spent the weekend enjoying all the facilities and its restaurant. The food was very delicious, the fish and calamari were delicious and the service was very pleasant despite the number of people there on Saturday. The meat was also top quality. The rooms have a lot of charm and very comfortable beds. The experience has left us wanting to repeat it in other seasons of the year. In summer they even have a swimming pool.

We chose this place to eat after a long wander around the surrounding area, undoubtedly influenced by the good reviews about it. Upon arrival, they welcome us with kindness, take us to our table and then recommend a couple of starters and a second, of which we agree to the latter. Due to the cold and the desire to eat a good hot dish first, we changed their recommendation for a couple of warm vegetable creams, a good choice without a doubt and highly recommended. Everything changes when they bring us the second dish, a one kg IGP steak (to the point) worth 50 euros, which I would have gladly paid if it met expectations. In short, a steak thawed probably in the morning, which was scary at first glance, quite difficult to cut and chew, without the characteristic juice of quality fresh meat, water emanating from the defrosting in the areas closest to the bone and with a certain bitter smell and taste. The manager of the establishment, proud of her high-quality meat, is unable to accept that we have realized the deception, that they "snuck it to us", threatening to pick up from the trash the bag in which said preserved steak was (which which would not have contributed anything notable to the effect) Surely the steak is luxury meat as she repeatedly pointed out, that is not the reason for the poor review, but rather the way of presenting it and the inability of its incompetent regent to be up to the task of solving the situation, only by adopting a defensive position to the complaints of customers who will not return to your premises.

The truth is that, just for the environment that surrounds the hotel, it is worth taking a getaway even for three or four days. The treatment with the hotel staff was excellent. The facilities, well maintained and clean. The food, of very good quality and abundant, with the risk of returning with an extra kilo. Without a doubt, we will return as soon as we have the opportunity.
